In the goingfree forum there was a discussion about this. I am seeing this book everyday in every Border/Barnes&Noble I go to.
Anyone here has anything to say about it? Is it more of the same? Did it help in any way?
There is the option to just read the book, no need to do the process :) So if you can get ahold of it and just read through it, it might shift your perspective on things. You are familiar with his work already so I think you will like it!
But maybe you did read the book ?
Btw, one good thing that I forgot to mention before is that it moves you from "reactive" into "responsive".
This week I have started the 3rd Presence Process. This is powerful stuff. I listen to and read everything I can, if Michael Brown is behind it. Just purchased his second book "Alchemy of the Heart", and have read a few pages. If you don't want to go through a 10-week process I think this book will be almost just as profound.
That sounds very interesting! Did you like the book Mario?
Thank you per for renewing this thread. I hadn't seen it before. I would love to know whether you recommend the book. I just looked in the library and I haven't found it. So I will have to buy it.
I highly higly recommend both of Michael Brown's books and his writings and audios. The fine thing with the Presence Process is that it allows you two options: just read the book or also go through it experientially. So it's a win-win :)
At his site thepresenceportal.com you can find looots of stuff for free; a blog, videos, writings and audios.
You're welcome! This material has been very helpful in many ways, so I feel it is worth sharing here. I wouldn't share it with people I know would throw it away :)
You know Per everything that's related to the practice of Presence and living in the Now interests me becaue I know how beneficial it is. I will most certainly buy some of his books. Now which book do you recommend I start with?
I think I would recommend the Presence Process, but since he is working on a second edition of that one, you might wanna wait and read "Alchemy of the Heart" first. In spirit they are the same anyway.
Or just read the writings at his portal or listen to the audios, to see if it resonates at all! :D
By the way, this Process will give you a "personal" (of if you wish to call it non-personal) experience of Presence, even if it's not recognized at first. Very simple and effective, straight-to-the-causal-point procedures. Lot of undoings and inner work, the Process is not about setting goals or making changes in your physical world, or changing thoughts. At the core it is emotional work.
I can't talk about its efficiency. I read the book and got sidetracked when I found the "Seeds of Enlightenment" and the course that follows, which I am doing now. Right now I am doing the 40.000 Oneness project that Frank posted with the second part of seeds plus releasing. As the Oneness is a 40 days thing that began last Saturday and everyone should be doing the same thing each day, I am focusing 80% on that. If I don't leave this plane for good, I will go back to the Presence Process in January. I really like what I read, but the reading itself doesn't mean much without the processes.
I have to confess also that I began reading a book called "After the Absolute" and that also helped me forget about that and the book I was reading before that. Now that I finished it I intend to only read another book after the 40 days.
