I have always suffered of insomnias. I don't really mind insomnias; it's just that the following day I'm always tired.
When I started listening to the audios, I stopped having insomnias but lately they came back. Yesterday, a thunder storm woke me up at 3am and I couldn't go back to sleep. I first released on wanting to change and I was OK with it. Then I welcomed the feelings, sensations, pics and sounds related to insomnias. Then I released on the belief that I had insomnias and last I released on resistance with the following questions : Could you let go of resisting sleeping? Could you let go of resisting not sleeping?
I felt fine i.e. I didn't get aggravated by the fact that I couldn't sleep which in itself helped a lot. But no sleep to be found!
Any clue?
What an incredible strory, Lilar. Very sad and scary for all of you who are involved, but what a break through you got! Amazing! Sometimes these come when we are pressed to the limits.
So maybe you have find your way to let go of insomnia.
I am a sufferer of this, too.
I found some way tonight, that might could inspire some who have trouble sleeping.
I found that my sleeplesness is coming from wanting security, all though I am often not aware of this, - but of course, if one feels totally safe, its easy to sleep.
Instead of finding insecurities to release, I did it a little different.
I ask: What would make me feel secure?
(pictures came of lying with my former girlfriend/longings for nowing I will be safe/ if I knew my friends would be there forever etc. I just let myself spontaneously visualise or just sense what was coming)
And then: Could I let go of wanting this security?
It went very deep, into something that I think is the core of my insomnia. I didnt manage to go all way through, although I also used by breath to (circular breathing) to get deeper into the core of it.
But I know how i might he able to release on my insomnia.
BTw, one of you mentioned an mp3 that you listened to to fall asleep. One that I find even better is the Bliss Retreat, that can also be downloaded from Hales site. Its aim is to help you find joy, presence and peace inside. But these qualities also makes it much easier to sleep. I have oftened used if if I wake up during the night and cannot go back to sleep.
And when I am in a halfway sleep, it bypasses the mind, so that I find the releasing is done by itself, as an immediate respons to the words on the mp3.
Ole thank you for your message. You are absolutely right about the insecurities. When I started releasing, I thought insomnias were coming from the want of control. But the deeper I'm going the more I sense that my "insomnias"are coming from a want of security. Thank you for the technique, I will use it if I have trouble sleeping.
