Tom: That's what I meant. I need to do a lot of releasing to accept Larry as a teacher.

Question: How do we know that it's a limiting belief or pure intuition?
Example: Suppose a mother of a little boy happens to meet a person in the family who she heard (doesn't know for sure, just hearsay" that a member in her family is a child molester. Her family and his are very close. One day, he offers to take her son to a soccer game. Her son wants to go with him badly. Now based on the simple belief (as she cannot prove it) that he once molested little boys, is she going to risk sending her little boy with him or is she going to release a little and say to herself that as long as it's just a belief based on what other people said about that person, she is not going to deprive her son from having fun playing soccer?
Is just her ego who is manipulating her using past programs or memories to "help her" be safe or is it a real intuition?,

There's a big distinction between a belief and intuition. Perhaps that distinction is unclear to you, so I will give my definition of intuition and belief.

The ego will never help you to be safe, in the first place. That's what intuition does. If there is looming danger, your mind freezes and intuition takes over. Ever have been in real danger, like you stepped onto the street when there was something driving on it nearby you? You knew exactly where to go and what to do to keep you safe. If it was the mind doing that, you first would have to figure it all out and then take action. No, you know what to do and take action immediately. That is intuition - clear, simple, direct. Complexity = mind.

That's not to say we always listen to our intuition. Far from it - I'm willing to bet most people flat out ignore it most of the time.

Now, I never like hypothetical cases because these are things you make up in your mind. You "think" they go that way - it's based in mind. Isn't it? Right.

But let's play along with this imaginary scenario you created for a moment.
When you meet people then you know within a couple of seconds whether you trust them or not. How? Your gut tells you. Whenever I meet new people I know within seconds whether I like their energy or not. You can feel it. And by the way, you will have this gut feeling whether you have an opposing belief or not...because your intuition overrides your beliefs in that case. Just like walking on the street when there's something driving on it - mind freezes, intuition takes over.

Ever really made a stupid mistake? I'm sure you have, I know I have, so let's get over that. What happened just before that? Your stomach rumbled. You felt bad. Maybe you felt a red hot, burning sensation in your body. Perhaps your heart starting beating really fast and that made you feel very uncomfortable. These are all signs telling you: "This is a bad idea".

Now what the mother does we will never know, because she's either going to listen to her intuition or she won't. I can assure you, though, if it's her child and they have a great connection, she will feel her intuition - who overrides all beliefs - screaming at her. I've had that "little voice" (aka intuition) cranked up really loud at times when it was trying to prevent me from doing stupid stuff, and believe me, you listen then! There's no doubt about it :)

You do have free will - that is to either choose to follow your intuition or not. And sometimes you choose not to listen and suffer the consequences. And you know, that's fine too...because you learn greatly from those situations. There's no good and bad - there are no mistakes. What it takes is a willingness to listen, to feel...and to trust.

Intuition is the one thing you can trust in this universe. "Intuition is only right 100% of the time", as our dear Lester Levenson said once so beautifully.

Thank you Tom for your elaborate answer. I have to say that I have never been good at intuitions. I have a number of examples where I felt that I didn't like a person at first and she finally ended up being a very nice and sincere person. The opposite is true. On the other hand, I sometimes have a feeling about a person or a situation and they end up being exactly what I thought of them at first. Take Larry for example, no matter how much releasing I did on him, I have that gut feeling that he doesn't speak from beingness. Will I stop buying his stuff or going to his retreats? No. Simply because he is just a channel through which Lester Levenson speaks. Besides, I no longer focus on the teachers. I used to but now, I usually let go of my perception of the image of the Enlightened or Awakened teacher that I have imprinted in my mind.
As for intuitions Vs Beliefs I honestly have trouble distinguishing between the two. The same gut feeling comes towards different persons; sometimes it proves to be right, sometimes not.

Well what I sense personally with Larry is that he is doing it from a loving place; he can yell and I am unbothered by it.
Especially on the Butt System and Love Yourself CD sets he is very different. I'm looking forward actually to meeting Larry here in The Netherlands :)

And feelings changing with people, yup that can happen too...although that rarely happens for me personally. Perhaps because I have been doing loads and loads of releasing in the past couple of years...and doing all sorts of personal development along the way. Your intuition will become more apparent when the mind quiets down more :)

The funny thing is that I've never heard Larry yell just because I've never heard any of his teleconferences nor have I attended any of his retreats when he is the instructor lol
The only audio of his I listened to is the Butt system.
The thing is when I'm fully released I accept him as he is, but I still don't think he speaks from Being. And if someone asked me why, I wouldn't be able to answer. I guess it's that gut feeling you were talking about( an intuition or just a belief I can't tell). But again Larry, Hale, ET or any teacher is nothing more than a pointer to the Truth that's within us.
